Hi, I’m Zack.
Looking to start your own solo law practice, get yourself clients, and build your authority as a lawyer – all online?
You’re in the right place.
I’ve been a solo attorney for the last 5 years. I started my practice right out of school, on the day I passed the California bar.
It was a bumpy ride, especially at first. I made a ton of mistakes before I ended up building a six-figure solo firm for myself.
How SparkSOLO helps you get ahead
That’s why I started this site – I want to help other new solos like you to get their practice up and running and generating business as soon as possible.
This includes:
- Figuring out who your ideal client is and how to find them online
- Getting an online presence set up quickly and easily, so you can start using it to get clients
- How to build authority not just with other lawyers, but with people who will actually be hiring you
- Working the system – using targeted blog posts and other SEO tricks to maximize the value of your online presence
- Setting up the nuts and bolts of running a law practice, using the latest tools
Above all, what I want to show you is what you don’t need to be worrying about.
Too often, we scramble all over the place trying to do anything and everything with our business.
We call this “shiny object syndrome,” and it keeps you unfocused and unproductive.
I’ll help you avoid that, by showing you exactly what you need to be doing and what you can forget about.
Why doing it yourself is the way to go
My method is a very hands-on one. I advocate for setting up your own site, writing your own content, and doing things yourself, at least at first.
This is because you’re setting up your law practice. It’s important that you know how it works, at least enough to know how to get someone to help you.
Too often, attorneys trust web developers and SEO snake oil salesmen to take care of this for them.
The costs are enormous and the results may not be what you want. Plus, it’s like a black box where you don’t really know what they’ve done and will have difficulty moving on to another service provider if things don’t work out.
We’ll avoid all that by doing things ourselves.

About Zachary Strebeck
I’m Zachary Strebeck, a solo video game and board game lawyer. I’m also a “digital nomad,” which means I live and work digitally while traveling the world.
After former careers as a video game animator and a blackjack dealer, I went to law school dreaming about getting into the entertainment industry.
During law school, I read Tim Ferriss’ seminal work, “The Four-Hour Work Week,” while interning for another solo attorney.
Both of those experiences shifted my mindset, and I made the decision to go solo right after school and move abroad while building my practice.
I traveled solo around the world for years, finally settling down (and getting married) in Bangkok, Thailand.
Aside from the crazy time difference, it’s a great lifestyle.
I’ve helped tons of video game and board game developers (along with software, website, and other types of clients) with their businesses, through my law practice, Game Lawyer blog, the Legal Moves podcast, and soon-to-exist YouTube channel.
Now I’d like to help YOU to get your law practice started.
